Date published: 23 June 2011
enthusiasts are gearing up for Shaw and Crompton Parish Council’s vehicle rally on Sunday.
The 23rd annual event, which starts at noon, will feature a seven-mile procession route.
Drivers and riders of motor-cycles, cars, military jeeps and commercial vehicles are invited to enter different categories to compete for first, second and third places.
Judging will take place after all cars have completed the route with awards presented in the afternoon.
The rally is part of the fun weekend, which brings in hundreds of people each year.
From 10am-4pm on Saturday there will be stalls galore at Market Street and Market Square in Shaw.
Anyone who wishes to donate to a tombola stall can take their offerings along to the parish council office or to the children’s centre in Shaw before the big day.
