WISH me luck... a nervous smile from Cora Kirk as she takes the plunge
Waterhead Academy has been hitting the heights to raise money for charity.
Six brave teenagers and four members of staff abseiled down the clock tower at the front of the Moorside campus, the former Counthill School, to raise £200 for Cancer Research UK.
The students taking on the challenge were Callum Hough, Ryan Ganley, Ashley Maher, Reece Jones, Chloe Austin and Cora Kirk.
They were joined by staff from the Academy Rich Gunby, Jason Roberts, Mick Bainbridge and Sarah Smith.
The abseil was supervised by Castleshaw Outdoor Centre.
