A 52-year-old man has been arrested after cocaine, cannabis and more than £50,000 in cash was found at a home in Egerton Street.
Officers from Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) swooped on the house at 8.15am yesterday after information given by the local community.
The cocaine and cannabis were worth approximately £200 and the man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and money laundering.
PC Graham Turner, from the NPT, said: “This was a massive find that will certainly cause disruption to the drug-dealing underworld who try to blight the local community.
“We could not have taken the action we did without help from the residents and I would encourage anyone with information about those involved in the sale and supply of drugs to come forward and talk to us in complete confidence.
“The community has shown it is prepared to work with us in the fight against drugs and I’d like to express my thanks to those who came forward and made all this possible.”
The man remains in police custody for questioning.
