DR KERSHAW’S Hospice has undergone a £245,000 transformation thanks to kind donations.
The Turf Lane venue now has a huge extension which boasts a new lounge area, physio room and therapy rooms where users can enjoy reiki, a head massage or some acupuncture.
There is also a new overnight ensuite room where families can stay when visiting, to avoid stress of having to book accommodation elsewhere.
Appeals manager Lisa Pearson said: “The new extension has made a massive difference already to users of the hospice.
“While we are grateful for the money we received as a government grant, we couldn’t have made this possible without the generosity of Oldham people, so we thank them all.”
If anyone has a fundraising idea they can contact the hospice on 0161 624 9984.
