A GARDEN Suburbs designer who entered the Royal Horticultural Show is exhibiting his work a little closer to home.

Daisy Nook Garden Centre offered Christopher Tessier (40) a display space after he won the prestigious silver flora medal.

The atom-themed garden — featuring swirling water representing subatomic particles colliding and a wind feature to highlight sustainable energy, was described by the president of the RHS as “full of excitement” and bound to inspire green-fingered fans.

Christopher, of Brae Side, who studied at KLC School of Design at Hampton Court, London is also a practising sculptor.

Visitors will get the first chance to see the garden in all its glory on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17 when it will be unveiled at the centre as part of a garden party weekend event.

As well as free entertainment for children all weekend there will also be barbecue demonstrations and stalls promoting local wildlife charities.

Christopher will be around all weekend meeting customers and talking about his garden which will become a permanent fixture.
