POLICE have released images of two men wanted in connection with an attempted burglary at a Hollinwood church.
It is the third time that St Margaret’s Church, in Chapel Road, has been targeted in the last two months.
Two men walked into the grounds of the vicarage and tried to open the rear door. They were disturbed and ran off, climbing a fence before escaping on to Chapel Road.
The incident happened at around 7.10pm on Thursday, May 26.
The men are described as white, between 17 and 25 years old, about 5ft 10in tall and clean shaven.
One man wore a dark coloured tracksuit and the second man wore jeans and a dark top.
DC Samantha Blackwood said: “I would urge the community to take a good look at these images and get in touch if they think they recognise the men.
“The church has been targeted three times over the last two months and we are determined to catch those responsible.”
