Royal appointment

AN Oldham businessman will today attend an evening reception at Buckingham Palace and meet the Queen and other members of the Royal Family, after winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2011.
David Benstead won the award for Enterprise Promotion after making a significant contribution to enterprise promotion in addition to his role as Director of HR, IT and Quality at Diodes Zetex Limited, Chadderton.
Mr Benstead has helped start-ups and worked with disadvantaged young people and schools to break down barriers to engaging with business and encourage entrepreneurship.
