Woman in bridge fall

A MOTORWAY carriageway was closed after a woman fell from a bridge near Hollinwood.

Police discovered a woman on the wrong side of the railings between junctions 20 and 21 of the M60 at 2pm yesterday afternoon.

Moments later she fell on to the anti-clockwise direction of the motorway.

An air ambulance took the woman to hospital with suspected broken legs and she remains in a stable condition.
