Putting on the glitz

Pupils dressed in their best for a lavish evening of food and celebration at the final St Augustine’s RC School prom.
In September, the Werneth school becomes part of Newman College, the new Catholic high school which will eventually occupy a new building on Broadway, Chadderton, merging with Our Lady’s RC School, Royton.
But for one night only the Werneth school pupils celebrated their days at St Augustine’s with a prom at the Bellavista Restaurant, Milnrow, Rochdale.
Hulme Grammar School students donned glitzy outfits and headed for the city for their prom night.
Jane Augsburger organised the gathering, which was well attend, at the Renaissance Hotel in Manchester.
