GALLONS of custard and some willing volunteers helped raise over £650 for charity.
The funday which featured a bath filled with the sweet sticky stuff was held at the Hope and Anchor Pub, Royton.
Organisers Robert Cottrill and Stacey Greenhalgh, along with staff from the pub, raised cash for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital charity.
Despite the chilly weather, guests enjoyed throwing wet sponges, face paints and having a go on a tombola, whilst being entertained by local singers including Wayne Bentley.
Robert Cottrill said: “The aim of the day was to have some fun and help to raise money for a great cause. It was a success so thanks to the four volunteers who sat in the custard bath and everyone who helped out on the day.”
