More than 100 officers were involved, including officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Serious Crime Division, tactical aid units and dog handlers, in the raids just after 6am.
A total of 15 people were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences, including possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Two of the 15 have now been bailed pending further inquiries.
Properties were raided in the Hathershaw, Chadderton, Westwood, Alt, Werneth and Moorside areas.
Shotgun ammunition was recovered from an address on Cherry Avenue, Alt, and a quantity of cannabis was recovered from another address.
