Stars mark success of firm

AN Oldham man is the driving force behind a carpet business on the Oldham-Rochdale border at Queensway.

Lifelong and committed Oldham Athletic fan Gary Marshall, who was born in Hathershaw, established GSG Carpets with partners Gilles Coloumbeau and Sue Benson.

The firm celebrated two years in business with a visit by “Coronation Street” actress Debbie Rush and celebrity chef Paul Nutter.

The trio set up the busines to offer “quality products at fantastic prices” and their success was evident at the turnout for the celebration party.

Actress Debbie, who plays Anna Windass in the “Street”, is a regular customer and was “delighted to join us for a glass of champagne”, said Sue.
