High praise as pot plants are seized

CANNABIS plants worth an estimated £12,500 were seized during a raid on a house in Kelverlow Street, Clarksfield, yesterday.
Officers from the Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team issued a warrant at the property just after 7.15am acting on information from residents.
They found 25 fully-grown plants in the front bedroom of the house, which were seized and later destroyed, as well as specialist growing equipment, No-one was at the property when officers arrived.
Sgt Jon Martin, from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, thanked local residents for their help. He said: “Thanks to some good information from the public, we’ve been able to take a substantial amount of drugs out of circulation. Anyone who suspects there may be a cannabis farm near them should contact the Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161-856 8891.”
