OLDHAM Athletic fans can enjoy the seventh-best deal in League One while watching their side at home this season.
The cost of the cheapest adult ticket, programme, pie and cup of tea at Boundary Park comes in at £21.10. That’s £4.90 more than the league’s best deal — £16.30 at rivals Rochdale.
The survey, by the BBC Sport website of every club in the four English divisions and the Scottish Premier League, shows that eight clubs — including Rochdale — offer tickets for a tenner.
Fans in the North-West can snap up some of the cheapest tickets while the best price for admission, a programme, a cup of tea and a pie in the Premier League is £17.50 at Blackburn Rovers.
Liverpool is the most expensive at £49.95 while the dearest top-end tickets are £100 at Arsenal.
Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters’ Federation, said: “It is important football continues to be attractive to the whole cross-section of society, so it doesn’t just become something only middle-class and upper-class families can afford.”
