INJURED Jack Elliot and brother Luke (7) with Matt Smith
NOT even a sporting injury could stop one young Latics fan meeting his heroes yesterday
Supporters flocked to the team’s annual signing session in the Spindles ahead of the start of the League One season which kicks off on Saturday.
They included 12-year-old Jack Elliot who broke his arm the night before, playing football.
Bandaged rather than in a plaster, he was unable to get some famous signatures on his cast. So instead, he made do with a glossy poster.
Manager Paul Dickov and several first-team players were on hand to sign autograph books, photographs, balls and shirts.
Oldham Athletic start the season with a home clash at Boundary Park against Sheffield United.
