Police drugs sting

POLICE in the Oldham West stopped and search individuals and discovered drugs, including heroin, on Tuesday.
The “GMPOldhamWest” Twitter feed was updated regularly with tweets of vehicles and a house being scoured for illegal substances.
One tweet read: “Officers stop a car on Westbourne Street, Westwood. Vehicle and four occupants searched. Seven wraps of heroin, seven wraps of crack cocaine.
Another post on the site said: “Officers stop a man on a bike on Hill Farm Close, Fitton Hill, during which he disposes of 14 bags of a white paste.”
During the day a property in the area was searched and quantities of amphetamine and 12 cannabis pants were discovered.
There were other reports of men being found with cannabis in their possession. Later that day, about £900 was also found in a vehicle and two men were arrested for drugs offences and money laundering.
