THE future’s green for an Oldham firm after scooping a second award for environmental excellence.
Repairs and maintenance specialists City Response has won a Green Apple gong for the second year running in a national campaign to find Britain’s greenest companies, councils and communities.
The organisation, which maintains, repairs and improves more than 30,000 housing association homes in the North-West, Yorkshire and Derbyshire, competed against 500 other nominations.
Bosses will be presented with the accolade at a glittering House of Commons presentation on November 14.
As a result of the success, City Response has been invited to have its winning paper published in the Green Book — the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice — so others around the world can follow its example.
The firm will also be considered to represent the UK in the European Business Awards for the Environment.
