I can steer youth in right direction

A DRIVING instructor is hoping he can help to calm young troublemakers following the recent city riots.

Jason Horsfield was left so angry and frustrated watching English cities torn apart by looters last week — he is offering youths a free way out.

The Chadderton resident will be giving aspiring drivers his time and lessons to make their future much brighter.

Jason said: “If we don’t start helping the youth of today, riots are just the tip of the iceberg.

“I want to start by offering free driving lessons to two pupils.

“With being a very small family business this is a significant investment from me, but I want to give something back to the youth of today.”

The help won’t stop with the lucky first two — it will continue on a rolling basis

The 42-year-old, of Henley Street, hopes he can get the ball rolling and drive more support among fellow driving instructors.

He added by saying: “I also want to challenge every driving school and business throughout Oldham and the UK to do the same by offering one person an opportunity.”

“I want to increase job prospects, help them achieve self-respect and confidence and in turn teach them safe driving for life.

Those wanting the free lessons will be judged on their own merit and have to express why they should receive this opportunity.
