Police sniff out £100,000 cannabis haul

POLICE have seized cannabis worth £100,000.
They iscovered just over 500 plants along with cultivating equipment worth around £5,000 at a property in Mersey Road, Failsworth.
Inspector Muzemil Kernain, from Failsworth and Hollinwood Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Thanks to information we have received, these drugs will be destroyed and will not make it on to the streets of Oldham or surrounding areas.
“I would encourage members of the public who have knowledge of where drugs are being sold or cultivated to contact police. The information received will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
