Body found in woods

THE body of a woman in her 40s was discovered by dogwalkers in woodland at Rhodes Hill, Lees, yesterday.
The people who made the grim discovery called police shortly after 2pm.
Officers arrived to find the woman in a wooded area just off Hartshead Street, which was cordoned off to allow forensics experts to carry out an examination.
Police said today that inquiries were ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death, but there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
