Declan Sheridan celebrates three As in Ancient History, English Literature and Geology.

A FAILSWORTH A-Level student has made the grade and will be heading to Scotland to start his university career.
Declan Sheridan (18), who attended St Bede’s College in Manchester, was celebrating after getting As in ancient history, English literature and geology.
He will now read ancient history at the University of Edinburgh.
Proud parents Ruth and John Sheridan said: “We are delighted with Declan’s results, it is a fantastic school, with excellent teachers.”
The college saw a 100 per cent pass rate with 71 per cent of upper-sixth students gaining A* to B grades. Head master Daniel Kearney said: “We are delighted with the results.
“This success is a result of excellent teaching, conscientious pupils and supportive parents.”
