Shaking it all about: participants in the Zumba Gold class
Zumba class is a big hit
YOU’RE never too old to hit the dance floor — as Oldham pensioners have found out.
Trainer Anna Kirkpatrick, of Anna’s Dance School, held a demonstration day of Zumba gold — the popular Latin dance sensation but at a slower pace — at St Andrew’s Church, High Crompton.
More than 60 people went along to get a flavour of her classes which will be starting in September at St Joseph’s Parish Centre and St Andrew’s Methodist Church, in Shaw.
Anna said she was pleased to see how many people turned out and encouraged everyone to get involved, as some of the moves can even be carried out by people in wheelchairs.
