Judges pick the winners as Saddleworth blooms
SECRET gardens and elegant Edens have been displayed in all their glory for the Saddleworth in Bloom awards.
The award-winners proudly showed off their creations for judges from Saddleworth Parish Council, who scoured the villages for the most worthy private gardens.
Cascading colours and well-tended lawns are the highlight of these open spaces, including the Greenfield community garden which Sheila Cronley proudly tends.
Judges deemed Richard Dawes’s ivy-covered garden the winner of the best small terraced garden, while Irene Chorlton’s perfect balance of decking and foliage bagged a medium garden award in Dobcross.
