A GLODWICK shopkeeper was held in a headlock by vicious robbers who stole the cash till.
The pair of men walked into the Kamran Boutique women’s clothes shop, on the corner of Bolton Street and Retford Street in Glodwick, at around 8pm on Monday.
They became aggressive when the female shop worker became suspicious and shouted for help.
One of the men then leapt for her, grabbed the scarf around her head and yanked it causing her to stumble back.
The second man went behind the counter and put the frightened worker into a headlock before taking the till and running out of the shop.
Det Con Stewart Lindsay, from Oldham CID, said: “These men used physical force to get what they wanted. Thankfully the victim was not injured.
“However, she has been left severely shaken by her ordeal and I would urge anyone who may have seen the robbery take place or saw the men run out of the shop and get into a vehicle to contact us.”
It is thought the robbers fled in a silver Mercedes car parked in near-by Spinks Street.
They are described as Asian, in their 30s, 5ft 11 inches tall, of stocky build and with black shaven hair.
One of them wore a black hooded top with a criss- cross pattern, black jeans with braces hanging down the side and black leather gloves.
The second man wore the same top as the first man but wore dark blue jeans and black leather gloves.
