No stripping at launch of calendar
Date published: 31 August 2011
THE hunks who star in a male version of a Calendar Girls-style offering lined-up once again — this time fully clothed — for a fun-day launch.
Joan Hague and Ronnie Cartwright, of the White House Inn, Henshaw Street, Oldham, came up with the idea of a charity calendar to raise cash for Royton’s Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
Some of Oldham’s brave business men and pub regulars stripped off for the good cause, with the Men on the Edge calendar launched at a fun day at the pub, which also featuring a tombola, auction, hog roast and tug-o-war contest.
The calendar, priced £3, was sold on the day or is available from Joan or Ronnie on 0161-633 1157.
