THE gutted property in Worsley Street.
AROUND 30 fire-fighters tackled a blaze in a terrace house in Glodwick this morning.
Four people were evacuated from neighbouring homes as the flames gutted both floors and the roof of the boarded-up property in Worsley Street.
Fire-fighters were called to the scene shortly after 2.30am.
They used a platform as they fought to stop the blaze spreading to adjoining homes.
Engineers from Electric North-West cut the power supply to the house.
Water damage prevented the occupants returning to one of the neighbouring homes.
Police are investigating the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.
