Teenager mugged in broad daylight

A TEENAGER was mugged by two men as he walked towards Rock Street from Yorkshire Street in Oldham town centre when he was pounced upon by two thugs who demanded cash.

As the teen attempted to run off, he was grabbed and pulled to the floor. His jacket was searched and money was taken before both robbers fled the scene.

Both robbers are white, one is described as between 20 and 30, around 5ft 7in tall, of skinny build and had a goatee beard. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark jogging bottoms.

The second man is in his late teens or early 20s and of medium build. He was wearing dark clothing and sat on a mountain bike.

PC Jenna Linaker said: “The robbery took place in broad daylight so someone may have seen the incident take place.”

The incident happened at around 4.45pm on Friday, August 12.
