Maisie Lords it with Beefy!

BRAVE Maisie Whitworth stepped up to the crease at the home of cricket yesterday with Sir Ian Botham to launch his 200-mile Great British Walk.

The Royton leukaemia sufferer (4), who is on the verge of finishing intensive chemotherapy, was chosen as one of 12 heroic children to raise awareness of childhood blood cancers at Lord’s, in London.

Maisie will join Sir Ian, known as Beefy, on the Manchester leg of his challenge next April.
