BUDDING authors got some top tips from riveting writers as part of Oldham’s Literary weekend.
The event included a creative-writing workshop by award-winning writer and director Cheryl Martin and a poetry workshop at Gallery Oldham, run by Michelle Green, on the theme of the symbolic language of flowers.
Author Carol Ann Lee, who penned “One of Your Own: The Life and Death of Myra Hindley and Witness” — a memoir of David Smith who reported Hindley and Ian Brady to the police — fascinated locals at Lees library as she delved into the murky past of the murderer with a discussion on Friday.
And what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with a cream tea and the author of 13 best-selling novels?
Guests at Oldham Library did just that with Sunday Times’ top ten bestseller Erica James who discussed her latest novel, “Promises, Promises”.
