A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl is keeping alive a tradition spanning five generations of her family.
Little Ella Walker (4) started at Greenfield Primary School in Shaw Street last week, following in the footsteps of her mum Selina Walker (30), grandma Jackie Langton (50), late great grandma Valerie Norcliffe and her late great-great grandma Charlotte Young.
And the wooden beams in the hall are still to be seen almost 100 years since the school opened.
Jackie, of Oak View Road, Greenfield, said: “It was quite emotional seeing Ella walk in on her first day knowing we all went there — it’s such a great school.”
