On your bike for festival fun
Date published: 16 September 2011
THE So Way North festival is back — bigger and better than ever.
The free fun day held at the George Street Playing Fields, Shaw (NOT, as appeared in the Chronicle on Thursday, at Royton Park), includes an inflatable human washing machine, graffiti art, skate park competitions and a variety of market stalls, selling everything from cupcakes to crafts.
Youngsters from Royton, Shaw and Crompton, have been auditioning to take part in a talent show to be performed on the day.
The afternoon, which runs from 1-4pm on Sunday, is sponsored by Royton, Shaw and Crompton District Partnership. Anyone who wants to take part in any of the skate or BMX competitions, can just turn up on the day.
