GIRL power was on display as a glamorous army of roller girls united to launch a thrilling new sport in Oldham.
Brightening up a wet weekend, the fierce girls donned their shin pads, helmets and skates for a celebratory day of fast-paced action.
The girls have moved into the former Riley’s snooker hall building in King Street, now renamed the Thunder Dome, to launch the Rainy City Roller Derby League.
Music, stalls, cupcakes and a unique performance from the Rock It Belly Dance troupe added a touch of spice to proceedings before the action got under way.
