HIS feet may be aching, but a charity champion from Saddleworth has a big smile on his face after completing an epic mission.
Tom Robinson from Diggle pounded the pavements to complete 100 10k runs in 100 days.
The last challenge was the 13-mile Great North Run on Sunday, and he was full of enthusiasm as he crossed the finish line and marked the end of the mission.
He wanted to raise awareness about type 1 diabetes and charity Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, after his son, Jake (7) was diagnosed with the condition.
Tom (36) said: “It feels great not to have to get up and have to go running — I had put my reputation on the line so I had to do it.
“I’ve had brilliant support and people have left me some lovely messages. The best run I did was the 99th race, where Jake joined me on the last 200 metres. That was fantastic to have him by my side.”
Not only did he raise awareness he managed to raise £2,000 for the charity.
