Police probe gunshots

POLICE are investigating after shots were fired in the early hours of Friday in Oldham town centre.
Shortly after 4am, police were called to Horsedge Street following reports a number of shots had been fired.
Armed officers attended and secured the scene. No-one was injured or any property damaged.
Supt Gary Simpson, from Oldham police, said: “Specialist armed officers quickly responded and we now have a number of dedicated detectives working hard to establish exactly what has happened.
“No-one was injured, but clearly the discharging of a firearm is a very serious incident.
“If anyone has any information about this crime, please call us.”
