OLDHAM Athletic has teamed up with Dr Kershaw’s Hospice for a season of fundraising.
The project has been launched as the 2011/12 season gets into full flow, and talks are under way between the two parties to work out how to bring the cash rolling in.
The scheme is part of the Football League’s “Help the Hospices” campaign, and Christine Harrop, Dr Kershaw’s deputy appeals manager said: “We are delighted Oldham Athletic has chosen to support us.”
“There will be bucket collections and a designated match for the hospice as part of a full programme of events over the season.”
She added: “We have always had a really good relationship with Latics, and the club is always very generous in providing memorabilia for sportsman’s dinners and auctions.”
