IT’S green for go for a new state-of-the-art centre at Oldham College.
The Green Technology Centre was officially opened yesterday and boasts an array of the latest equipment.
The centre will provide short-courses for professionals in installing green technology, while householders will also be able to find out more about the requirements and benefits.
Denton company GroundTherm designed and fitted the centre in the college’s David Bellis building. Much of the equipment has been donated by companies and data will be used by the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
The ambition is to eventually move into a purpose-built centre and John Eley, the college’s green technology manager, said: “This new centre is a very exciting opportunity for the college in an innovative area of the economy.”
