RECORD-BREAKING temperatures at the weekend saw Oldhamers out in force to soak up the sunshine.
The heatwave saw temperatures soar to 27.2C (81F) across the borough on both Friday and Saturday afternoons. Saturday was Oldham’s hottest October day on record.
But yesterday the temperature dropped to a “cool” 20.C (69F) with clouds covering the sun.
Temperatures are set to plunge further over the next few days. Friday morning could even be frosty, followed by strong winds and rain.
