Three held in stun gun and drugs swoop

TWO boys and a man have been arrested after drugs and a stun gun were found following a crash in Chadderton.
A van failed to stop at the smash with a Mercedes in Long Lane just after 2pm on Thursday.
It was traced and pulled over by traffic police minutes later and a large amount of cannabis and amphetamine was found inside.
Officers then searched a house in Chadderton, and found more drugs, £500 in cash and a stun gun.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision, the possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Two boys, aged 14 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Sgt Neil Monaghan’ from Greater Manchester Police’s road policing unit’ said: “We’re pleased that by reacting quickly that we have managed take drugs and a dangerous weapon off the streets.”
