Blaze victim out of danger

A 48-YEAR-OLD man who was taken to hospital after firefighters rescued him from a blazing flat in Coppice yesterday is recovering in hospital.
The man was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital by paramedics after he was rescued from the property in Park Street in the early hours of the morning.
He was admitted to the high dependency unit, but later transferred to another ward, where his condition was today described as stable.
He is being treated for burns and scratches, and police said his condition is now non-life threatening.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
