Police need to speak to this man over a sexual assault
A TEENAGER was sexually assaulted on a bus from Failsworth to Manchester.
The 17-year-old victim was on the number 83 bus on Sunday, September 25, travelling along Oldham Road, when the offender sat next to her at around 11.15am and sexually assaulted her.
The girl got off at Piccadilly Gardens and contacted the police.
The offender is described as Asian, in his 40s, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with thick, short black hair.
Det-Con Nolean Tobin said: “Everyone should be able to use public transport without fear of being sexually assaulted, a basic right not afforded to the victim because of this man.
“I would ask the public to look at the CCTV image and if anyone thinks they know who he is please contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161-856 3540, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
