“EMMERDALE” actor Andy Walker left Oldham College students starstruck as he lifted the lid on his time in the hit soap.
Andy, known to viewers as Steve Kelly in the ITV programme, spoke of his dedication to become an actor during the meet-and-greet at the Grange Arts Centre.
Andy, who now lives in Milnrow, was paralysed from the neck down after breaking his neck in three places in a diving accident five years ago.
He said: “I’m massively independent and plenty of times I forget I’m in a wheelchair.
“I want to get the message across to people, whether you have a disability or not, you can always push the boundaries.
“I hope that by showing the students that I haven’t let my disability get in the way of achieving what I want, I will inspire them to follow their own ambitions and achieve their goals in life.”
