NUMBER ONE: Oldham-lad Clinton “Rocky” Steele is cheered by his fans.
OLDHAM’S very own Rocky put in a blockbuster performance in front of his home crowd at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Clinton “Rocky” Steele would have made his late grandfather, the local legendary wrestler Tommy Bailey, who wowed audiences in the 60s and 70s proud.
Steele showed his class in the ring defeating Crusher Brannigan. The sport showed its popularity with hundreds flocking to the classic venue to witness the entertaining return of wrestling in Oldham — its first in almost a decade.
The superstars took part in five showdowns, which included a tag team challenge and an over-the-top “rope rumble” spectacular.
