FOOT first . . . Paul Tennant treats Patricia Roberts
AN Oldham business has celebrated the feat of 30 years of footcare.
Tennant Podiatry, in Union Street, was opened in 1981 by local business and family man Bob Tennant and is now in the hands of his son Paul Tennant. The practice began trading as RC & GM Tennant Ltd and was set up to provide a professional foot care service. Bob Tennant, from Uppermill, qualified as a podiatrist at the London Foot Hospital and after gaining extensive experience in London, returned to the north to practice in his hometown.
Thirty years on and the practice is at the cutting edge of all foot-related problems with clinicians spending many days each year on courses enabling them to offer the very best of care to patients.
The practice will also be one of the first in the country to soon be offering specialist laser treatment.
Paul Tennant is looking to grow the company’s reputation as a specialist podiatric clinic for the north and utilise the arrival of Metrolink which will make the practice more accessible for new patients.
It is introducing a nail cutting service at half price to help elderly patients no longer receiving adequate foot care due to NHS cutbacks and, to celebrate its anniversary, is offering all new patients 20 per cent off all treatments during November by quoting OC20 when booking. Call 0161-652 1853.
