My teen queen dream

A TEENAGER from Oldham is one step away from a dream final at a national beauty pageant.

Charlotte Pearson (14) needs your vote to beat 23 other girls for a place in the final of Miss Teen Princess UK in September, 2012.

“I’ve always wanted to do modelling since I was a young girl and this could be a great opportunity,” said the 5ft 6ins Hathershaw College pupil.

“I would love to be a model in catalogues.”

Miss Teen Princess UK, part of Miss Teen Queen UK, is aimed at 13 to 15-year-old girls and stresses the importance of the environment, being a positive role model, confident and having an interest in working with charities.

Charlotte attributes her success to her beauty regime. “I always use moisturiser. I have to wear make-up, I can’t go out without make-up.

“My favourite item is mascara. If I’m going somewhere important it will take me three hours to get ready, to do my hair, make-up and clothes.”

“I dyed my hair blonde a year ago. I had to keep bleaching it to get this colour and then had hair dye put on it.”

Mum Louise Meggison, (41) is urging Oldhamers to support Charlotte.

She said: “Please vote for her. She deserves it because she has been trying to get into it for such a long time.

“She wants to pursue a career as a model, she loves posing. She loves having her photo taken, we have thousands of photos of her,” added the mother-of-two, who works as a bus driver for Stotts.

The public have until 11.30pm on Tuesday, November 15, to register their votes.

Voting can be done through the website at www.missteenqueenuk.com.
