PROPERTY specialist Lovell has been selected by First Choice Homes to improve Oldham’s housing.
The four-year programme will see the refurbishment of hundreds of properties in FCHO’s portfolio of 12,000 homes.
Lovell is part of a contractor framework of 14 North-West companies.
The work, worth a total of £90million, will include kitchen and bathroom replacements, electrical rewiring and heating upgrades, as well as external improvements and communal area upgrades such as painting and repairs.
FCHO is responsible for managing, letting, repairing and modernising properties previously owned by Oldham Council prior to the stock transfer earlier this year.
The refurbishment contract is part of a £149million improvement programme which will see properties and estates improved and modernised.
FCHO chief xxecutive Cath Green said: “Local people will benefit from the millions of pounds we are investing in our properties.
“The contractors have undergone a rigorous selection procedure and FCHO customers have been involved throughout.
“Lovell has a strong track record of being able to deliver a quality service and we look forward to working together.”
Lovell is part of the Morgan Sindall Group — a leading UK construction and regeneration organisation with revenues of more than £2 billion.
