Funeral tribute to PC

THE funeral of a PC killed in a crash on the M1 — after which an Oldham driver was arrested — took place in Wakefield Cathedral on Friday.
PC Mark Goodlad (41) was hit by a an orange Scania lorry as he helped a 51-year-old woman driver who had broken down on the hard shoulder last month.
A 44-year-old HGV driver from Oldham has been bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
PC Goodlad’s 14-year-old son, Ben, followed his father’s coffin past scores of his colleagues from West Yorkshire Police.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned at Wakefield Coroners’ Court.
