Drive-by gunman hunted by police

POLICE are hunting a gunman following a suspected drive-by shooting in Woodhouses.
A bullet was shot through the window of the the property in Ashton Road shortly after 3.15pm yesterday. The gunman is believed to have fled in a silver Vauxhall Astra.
Insp Paul Walker, said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of this dangerous and reckless act.
“I want to reassure residents that not only are there extra officers in and around the area, but we will do everything we can to identify the culprit.
“If anyone has any information about the gunman, the circumstances surrounding this incident or has seen the getaway vehicle at any point before or afterwards, please get in touch.”
