Murder-charge remand

A MAN accused of murdering a homeless man in Oldham will face a trial next year.
Darren McCann (37), of no fixed address, is accused of killing Matthew Alexander Barrett (38), whose body was discovered on August 30 in a derelict warehouse on Partington Street, Mumps.
McCann appeared at Manchester Crown Court yesterday for a hearing, where he was told he will face a jury on February 28. He has been remanded in custody.
