Hammer probe

A MAN and a boy will appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged in connection with a sledgehammer attack on a man in his Saddleworth home.

Dario Eastcroft (19) and a 17-year-old boy, both from Cheetham Hill, have been charged with aggravated burglary. On May 25, a 53-year-old man was attacked in his home in Grotton Meadows by three masked men with a sledgehammer. They caused injuries to his arm and face before fleeing.
