Pair in murder link

TWO men accused of plotting in the murder of a young man were caught on CCTV talking about “the job” hours before it happened, a court heard.
Amran “Manny” Khan (29) was shot dead on the doorstep of his home in Oldham in 2009.
It is alleged that Damien Green and Craig McKenzie conspired in the killing with twins Jordan and Brett Francis, who were both convicted of the murder last year.
Mr McKenzie (29), of Parkside Road, Fallowfield, and Mr Green (31), of Aldwyn Crescent, Hazel Grove, both deny murder.
The shooting is alleged to have happened after a fall-out involving Mr Khan.
The jury at the Manchester Crown Court trial was shown CCTV footage of outside the Francis brothers home at Birch Grove, Chadderton, on September 18, the day of the shooting. It is alleged the images reveal Mr Green and Mr McKenzie discussing how the shooting was to be carried out.
Mr Green is accused of saying: “Get him out on the pavement. If he’s there, he’s there. If he’s not, get in the car and drive off. Drive straight there, do your job — bang.”
Hours later, a kerbstone was thrown at Mr Khan’s car in what the prosecution say was a successful attempt to lure him outside his home in Nugget Street, Glodwick.
When Mr Khan stepped outside his home he was hit by two of three bullets fired from a 9mm gun, sustaining a fatal chest wound.
Neither Mr Green nor Mr McKenzie are said to have been in the car which the gunman was in. But the prosecution say phone evidence, as well as the CCTV, links them to the crime.
